North West Castle Hotel
8/10 Good
"Plenty parking, close to town…spacious rooms, i believe the rooms are bring gradually updated… Breakfast always nice, wish the toast order was taken with the tea/coffee order instead you have to queue to use the two toasters… Bar area nice…we didnt use the pool or gamesroom this time, the hotel was busy with a wedding which was nice to see …we normally come her 3-4 times a year, for 1 or 2 nights at a time…stranraer fc bar closeby always very welcoming and they have live music most weekends…"
Lakeview Guest House
10/10 Excellent
"The premises are excellent as is the wonderful host. The room was comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was first class. Would recommend wholeheartedly and would come back anytime. Regards Gary and Sharon Taber"
Fernhill Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The area is absolutely stunning with amazing views. The hotel needs a little TLC is a little antiquated needs to be brought into the 21st century only silly things like sockets that take phone cables etc, especially when you’re on business and need chargers etc: however what a lovely place to stay and I would cope lol. Staff were amazing all of them from the gent on reception who seemed to be everywhere to the lovely lady in the Bar and restaurant again she was a very busy lady with a joyful and friendly attitude. All in all a great place and most importantly I enjoyed my time there. Will most definitely visit again even if I have to drive out of my way."
The Portpatrick Hotel by Compass Hospitality
8/10 Good
"Great location with panoramic view of Portpatrick. Car parking on site which is included in the cost of your room as long as you register with reception. Very clean hotel . Dog friendly with dedicated areas of the hotel reserved for dogs and their owners. Breakfast is self service buffet. The plate warmer and the hot food warmer do not keep the plates and the cooked food warm. Coffee machine was broken so only instant coffee available at breakfast hence a score of 4 out of 5."
The Bladnoch Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely country pub with beautiful rooms upstairs. Really friendly staff and the view on the way to my room were the best I had all day, and I had covered 270 miles 😳"
The Thistle
8/10 Good
"The Inn was suitable for a stopover to the car ferry to Belfast. Close to shops and restaurants. The host was very helpful and friendly."
The Waterfront Hotel & Bistro
8/10 Good
"Friendly staff, room was clean and adequate, no problem in getting extra beverages, breakfast very good, bed comfortable , bathroom and little small, cabinet above small sink to low when trying to wash or shave , but got on with it and did not spoil our stay, very good shower, lovely view from window overlooking harbour, enjoyed our stay over 3 nights would go back 😀"
The Harbour House Hotel
8/10 Good
"It is right next to the water and has a nice position and view of the rest of the small town (village). We would stay again if we had to, as we couldn't find a place to stay in the actual town of Stranraer the Inn is located in Portpatrick). It was adequate for the price. We ate somewhere else, but the restaurant seemed busy. It was also pretty quiet for a pub/restaurant in the summer, which we appreciated."
