"Great little motel! Everything is upgraded, clean and modern. The staff were very helpful with the one issue we did have. Loved: the robes in our room and having tea as well coffee provided for the Keurig. Noise from the highway was not really an issue during our stay. Thanks!"
"The breakfast area was very crowded and did not have a very good lay-out. The room was clean, but had a bathroom door that was very noisy and would not shut properly and the shower head sprayed out from around the joints."
"The pictures of this property are not accurate. The room that I stayed in was designed for a hostel. Even at that there was no room to navigate where you needed to get in. I was in a room with 3 other men! Had I known this I never would.have booked there.
The owner had so many rules that were posted all over the house, which is something you would post for grade schoolers. "If you go.number 2 squirt the air freshener only 3X as it is super concentrated". Ridiculous, the downstairs guest were not to use the upstairs kitchen nor the fridge upstairs."
"First there are more rooms than parking spots so someone will need to park on the streets. I reached out to the hose about street parking rules but the host never replied back. The place needs alot of maintenance. The floor was broken in the bathroom, and I stubbed my toes. The tiles were also cracked. The room was also extremely cold. There were space heater in the room but it was really noisy and did not work well. Lastly, the host needs to significantly improve their communication. The entire street that the hotel was on was closed due to the Calgary marathon the next day. I only found out at 6 in the morning because I went out to my car and saw people blocking the street for the marathon. I had to rush and pack up my things in the early dawn to get out of the street before it was completely closed off. I was lucky and was able to make it out but I would imagine some guests were stuck in the hotel for hours because the police officer told me that cars were off limits once the marathoners were nearby. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would strongly suggest that anyone planning to reserve this place rethink their decision."
"Absolutely terrible experience from start to finish.
The problems began before we could even get into the property. The door code provided did not work, leaving us locked out after a long day of travel. We struggled to get ahold of anyone and finally received a response after 8 PM with a different code that worked.
Once inside, the condition of the house was shocking. The property was dirty, outdated, and poorly maintained. We arrived late and hungry only to discover the dishes, utensils, and cookware were filthy, meaning we had to wash items before we could even eat. There was debris inside the cupboards, the bathroom was gross, and the bathroom lights did not work.
The beds were unbelievably uncomfortable — cheap steel frames with thin mattress pads where you could feel every metal bar underneath.
The hot tub was completely unusable. We specifically booked a place with a hot tub, and this one had visible debris floating inside and slimy water. We refused to go in it.
Other issues included tiny TVs, barely any toilet paper supplied, and old games with missing pieces.
The listing photos were extremely misleading compared to reality. Honestly, I would have felt more comfortable staying in a downtown hostel than this rental. Hotels.com should seriously inspect this property before continuing to allow their brand to be associated with it."
