This is the place to stay if you are visiting Cat Ba. This boutique hotel truly lives up to its name and the staff make the stay extra special. Centrally located so restaurants and adventures are on the doorstep. Excellent breakfast. We also loved the stylish roof terrace where we could have our own drinks. Would love to stay again!

The most beautiful, well finished hotel we have ever stayed in. The room was a great size, staff so pleasant and helpful and the amenities top class. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. The views here Ha Long Bay are an added bonus and the hotel ensure the beach area is kept pristine and clean. 10/10

Decided to travel down from Hanoi to experience Ha Long Bay and couldn't have found a better place to stay. Your first welcomed at the reception on the mainland, in a few moments taken by boat over to the hotel island, then whisked up to the entrance by buggy... all feels quite special. The hotel is spacious, luxurious, large rooms, good layoutl.. have nothing but good things to say about this hotel really.
It seems strangely quite quiet, but a nice change to the usual, I'm sure it won't stay...

Every single member of staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Special mention to the Reception Team and the Spa therapists. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was plentiful with plenty of choice. Position was amazing literally overlooking the beach with just a short walk, and in a quiet area but with easy access into all areas of the city by very affordable taxis. So so very happy with my stay at the Paddington.

We had room 1602 in the middle building...it has to have the best view from a hotel suite on the planet. The hotel buildings are right on the beach and there is a nice (easy) walk around the cliffs to the town. The waterfront area of the town is currently (2025) a huge land reclaiming building site. We took a day cruise to Bright Cave and rented a motor scooter for a day to explore the island, all great fun. Our stay coincided with a national holiday so the place was really busy over the...

Staff super friendly. Laundry cheap and fast. Luggage storage. After we checked out we went kayaking and when we returned to collect our bags we were offered a room and towels to get showers and changed. Excellent service. Thank you.

Excellent upmarket hotel, modern and sleek equipped with good amenities, located on top of steep road making it not ideal to walk around though, well presented reception staff but somewhat disorganised at the check-in hence in need of some improvement, all amenities very good, breakfast is a delightful buffet serving wide ranging menus appealing to every palate. Special thanks to Pattrick who extended valuable support to organise local travel, cruise bookings and airport transfers . Overall we...

We stayed for 2 days and 1 night in March 2026 and had a truly memorable experience. The cruise felt refined, well-organised and very comfortable, with beautiful views throughout the journey.
The cabin was elegant and spacious, the food was very good, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. The crew made everything feel smooth and effortless, which allowed us to simply relax and enjoy the scenery.
A premium and well-executed way to experience Ha Long Bay. Highly recommended.
