"The room was okay. Though to be fair clean. The beds were a tad uncomfortable. The bed had a ridge at the side so probably needs a new matress. The pillars were cheap. One was too low and two were too high. The breakfast was of a reasonable standard. Though I doubt whether the sausages were Welsh sausages. Probably cheap sausages from wholesale suppliers. "The room was clean and very compact, it lacked appeal but had most of the amenities you would want at this price. There is no interaction with staff at all as self check in, the heating wasn’t on although the radiator in the hall was hot, one curtain hardly covered the window, my room,2, was at the front of the property so people leaving the pub were talking loudly at 11.30/12pm and then again at 1am which woke me up, the shower was good, the wash basin so tiny you couldn’t get the tiny kettle...

"Room and bedroom were lovely, french doors with garden outdoor view , you would not expect that from the front door of your room and the front area , bit shabby and dated, saying that bathroom very dated was clean but could do with modernization. Pool was my biggest let down, small very busy and again generally little shabby , temp was good , but I didn't stay in for long , on our visit jacuzzi was full of young lads , all friends couldn't get near it . Quite a walk to breakfast from our room/...

"The bed I had was harder than I’m used to so that was a bit of a let down. As for breakfast it was help yourself. Fine for things like cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice and toast, but not for cooked food. That should be cooked to order not put out and kept warm for an hour or two. The eggs were really tough."

"Nicely refurbished hotel, excellent food and breakfast. Not sure I like the self service check in, not that it didn’t work, it did but just prefer the personal touch for a hotel striving for the boutique feel. Overall a nice stay and friendly staff. They missed cleaning the room one day which was disappointing."

"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"
