"Great hotel in good location. If you like to be away from the busy town life and be in the thick of the out doors this is definitely the place to stay. Only draw back you have to keep catching a taxi which will cost you $5 each trip to get something to eat in the main town as there’s nothing near you. "The rooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was great with an attentive and flexible staff who adjusted breakfast times for an early excursion which they helped us book (a 360 island tour which was also excellent and reasonably priced compared to similar options). They were also very flexible with early check-in and departure. All around a great value for our short stay in San Cristobal."

"Slight problem with the room on arrival, having booked a family room, but we compromised since it was only for a night, and a sofa was made up to suit. Owners couldn’t have been more apologetic or indeed more helpful during our stay. The hotel is a little unusual in that it is made somewhat castle like, with quirky architecture - which incidentally was the reason we booked for the night. "Nice hotel that has had a make-over in the past few years. Staff very helpful and accommodations in the rooms very nice. The hallways and areas between main lobby and rooms could use some improvement, given the price, the overall feel of the place is not super luxury. The food in the restaurant was superb. We had the complementary breakfast (which was extraordinary) plus two dinners and a lunch which were all exceptional. The restaurant staff seemed like they were nearly all new to the job...

"I waited at the property for around two hours to check in and not a single person was in sight. I called the numbers available online and none of them were working numbers. There is a sign in the courtyard with alternative numbers, and when I called those nobody answered. The listing states 24 hour reception but that clearly is a misadvertisement. In the end, I had to change hostals."
