"Mama Shelter hotels are always funky and interesting. The Bordeaux one is in a quiet area but only a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping area. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially when we needed advice on how to get the to arena for a show. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night as we arrived late after a long day, but the service was non existent and the food average so I would avoid eating there as there are so many fabulous restaurants in the area. "Wonderful property. Very pleasant setting. Only 20 minutes from there center of Bordeaux. HOWEVER, do NOT try to drive to Bordeaux from this hotel. It took me more than one hour because of the horrible traffic, the oneway streets, the street closures, etc.. even with Gps.Likewise for returning to the hotel from the city center"
