"The room was big. It had a huge bathtub and a separate shower. The beds were comfortable too. They charge you for amenities and that is the gym, dining, and casino. They should pay you. The casino is very expensive to eat at and the food was just OK. If they had microwaves in the room, I'd say bring your own food but they don't. The staff in the hotel, dining/ casino are not very friendly."

"When you book through Expedia just note, you will not get a refrigerator or a microwave unless you pay an up charge when you get there the only perk is no reservation hold fee first room smelled like urine second room lock didn’t work very well. You could just push the door open. Do better Motel 6, please"

"Our room was musty and mildewy from the lack of bathroom shower ventilation. Lots of traffic noise but not the hotels fault being near a busy expressway."

"This hotel is very dated. The bathroom was so small the shelf for you personal items was broken so everything slid off. You could only take a shower as there was no plug in the tub. The bed was very uncomfortable you rolled to the middle. And the pillows were awful. No firmness to them at all. The lamp on the nightstand was covered in rust. The elevator smells bad like melted crayons. The area for breakfast the seats of the chairs were worn and cracked. The area for the bench seat had sheets...

"The lady for housekeeping she is very rude person"

"STAY AWAY — TERRIFYING SAFETY INCIDENT, FILTHY CONDITIONS, AND APPALLING SERVICE We checked in around 2:30 a.m., and Mary at the front desk gave us keys to a room that was already occupied by people who appeared to be squatters. When we opened the door, they became aggressive, threatened to kill us, and began getting up as though they were going to attack us. We ran away, fearing for our lives. How does a hotel hand guests keys without knowing whether the room is occupied? When we told Mary...

"The room and the facility wasn't the cleanest. It's like they did a quick tidy up and left. The door handle is dirty, the a/c unit, the bathroom, the sheets were questionable, and the floors were dirty. The refrigerator would not keep our food cold. The pool was cloudy and it closed down during our last day."

"Tru is clean and a nice stay but barebones."

"Clean. Nice staff. Great location"

"I had no expectations from a Motel 6, other than a safe and clean place for a single night accommodation. I arrived to find numerous vagrants milling around the neighboring property and Motel 6 lot. I additionally noticed a moldy odor upon entering. Safety of myself and my vehicle was my primary concern, but an unclean facility also made me unwilling to stay there. I cancelled the reservation in person with the woman at the check in desk. She made no mention any cancellation fee but charged...

"This is one of the best hotels I’ve been to in Merrillville. I used to stay in Merrillville when I’d come home to visit Gary. The quality of a lot of the other hotels in the area made me choose other areas like Portage or Hammond, but this hotel will definitely be a viable option if I choose not to commute further. Clean property, dope room. Very spacious. My only complaint is that the remote was not compatible with the television so I couldn’t use it."

"No breakfast was unavailable on the 29th and no one seemed to care when you told them."
