"The first clue that it may not have been the best hotel was the adult bookstore across the street. The second was the old musty smell. The pictures on the website show an updated, CLEAN, and well lit place to stay. Well AI is at work for the Red Roof Inn in Mansfield, OH. Despite our initial misgivings we thought we will try the room…the long walk down a dimly lit hall, dimly lit to cover the dinginess of the hall carpet, we find a room with some yellow and brown stained sheets and pillow cases. Ugh, well maybe it was just that room, hurried housecleaning maybe. Being the eternal optimists we simply asked for a different room. On the way to this room we discover the dinge of the carpet through the light of an opened door, by this time we had exchanged worried glances, but shrugged-can’t judge a book by its cover, right? However judging was a few steps away, just as we open our room door we were overpowered by a musty, armpitty type smell. Which with our sensitive sniffers was the last straw. Bless the front counter lady who gave us no issues with refunding our room rate for the night. We then gladly waved goodbye to the Red Roof Inn and the accompanying adult bookstore. "
