"This hotel was fabulous. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We stayed in a standard room and it was very pleasant. There was a double bed with a large mosquito net covering it. The air con worked well. The breakfast was varied and tasty. The pool was warm and refreshing. The beach is a couple of minutes down the road, look for the sign to 'secret beach'. There's beautiful views here and lots of places to eat. The best thing was the monkeys who kept popping into the garden and sometimes...

"An excellent location, and a wonderful pool. Good price, and a small, cute place. What was not so good, was our experience checking in. We had booked a garden room, but apparently these were "fully booked", and we were given a lesser room with a street view (a noisy street). We tried to explain that this was not what we booked, but they insisted it was the same, and that the two garden rooms were not available. We could switch the next day. That was fine, but we did not want to pay full price...

"We stayed at Sounds of Nature for 5 nights and it was the best accommodation we had in our 3 weeks in Sri Lanka. The hotel is only about 6 months old . Dima our Host was wonderful - cooked our breakfast, was very helpful, nothing was a problem for him, such a lovely person! "I left my heart in Talalla Retreat. Incredible staff who were so welcoming and hard working, the Retreat itself is stunning. I had an upstairs bedroom so was able to fully enjoy the surroundings. The food was incredible. I felt super safe. I didn’t want to leave. A must visit - and please do as the Sri Lankan people need visitors right now. "
