"Great Hotel. Wonderful location! Walking to fine restaurants is easy. The hotel is amazingly clean and easy to access (securely). A nice vibe too!"

"I was so disappointed with the property especially given the rate. The property is undergoing a refurb, had furniture and cables everywhere in the foyer, they were also painting and had a temporary check in desk. One lift wasn’t working, the door to our room got stuck each time and was very hard to open, the rooms themselves weren’t great - one big disappointment and certainly not worth the price! In addition on arrival we were told they were over booked and were looking to send us to a sister...

"Centrally located in the best part of old Lyon. Staff was very helpful including when my phone charging cube fried and tripped the outlet breaker in our room. They got right on it and fixed the problem quickly. Some rooms are larger than others so ask for one of the larger ones when you check in."

"The staff at Le Phenix are amazing . Always friendly. I felt comfortable with them. They are gracious for we English speakers who have less than rudimentary French (I practiced! Really I did!) The rooms have good AC if necessary. The restaurant associated with the hotel is shockingly good. Such a wonderful lunch! We did not have the breakfast buffet because we eat so light, we did not find value. I do wish there was a hot water kettle in the room. Beds are comfortable. Our room was spacious....

"Central location minutes from many restaurants. Good comfortable bed. There was a massive lamp over our bed which was a great feature but didn't work so didn't understand the purpose. We stayed on the 3rd floor and there was a very unattractive stain on the floor. There were inconsistencies with the staff helpfulness. I had asked the woman cleaning our room to leave an extra towel which she forgot to do. When I got back to the hotel and realised there wasn't a towel I called reception and was...

"Hotel itself is beautiful. Pool and amenities as advertised. Staff are well trained, professional, and very friendly. The room fit and fondue do not reflect the price - layouts are quite strange, ie. no sink on the same floor as the toilet and shower. And Bring your own mattress because the beds are exceptionally uncomfortable. Location would be the main reason to stay "
