"Good place for an overnight or weekend trip to Rotterdam. Very well located on a great street (nightlife, restaurants, bars, etc) and close to museums and shopping. Comfortable bed, room can get a bit stuffy (summer), well-equipped common bathrooms. Overall, a good place to stay for the price."

"Styling of hotel was very good and location great especially if you are taking a cruise. Room was clean but shampoo and gel were empty and they could clean the towel bar and tissue holder. Other than that the staff was friendly and they did accommodate an early check-in for us."

"I have first used A&O in Edinburgh when they first opened the hostel few years ago. I was very impressed how nice and clean the facilities were. We just stayed me and my sister in A&O in Rotterdam. The standards are still the same. The breakfast is good standard continental breakfast. 10-15 minutes walk from the central station. Thank you staff. Very helpful and they looked after our baggage’s from 10 am until after 5 pm"

"Room very clean and comfy bed. I did not like the courtains, the were not dark to sleep in a nice way. I understand Netherlands they don't use them but I can not sleep in a bright environment. Also, the pressure of the shower was a bit low. Breakfast was amazing with nuts and good choise."

"I booked this hotel specifically for the pool. Imagine how I felt when they told me it was out of service from the day I arrived. And of course, it went back in function two days after so the day of my checkout, at 5PM. It felt like a really bad joke, especially when the reception staff told me that "anyway it's a paying service and it's not free", really professional. I checked and I was really hard to find (seems totally free on all the front pages of booking sites, no mention that's it's not...

"While it was kind (and odd) to be upgraded but without access to the M Lounge, it really didn't matter. The staff working The Pillars were all superb - particularly Maressa who kindly helped me improve my Dutch language skills. As the other 'front of house' for the hotel they are an absolute credit and I hope are recognised as such. "I booked a superior room and I was placed in a room with a big box in the middle making the room small I could find the fridge and their was not even a bottle of water in the room. Then we had to be evacuated from the hotel without any suggestions on where we should book. I had to walk down 9 floors with my heavy suitcase to find out what’s happening. The staff tried their best but the process was not working I was very disappointed with my stay this time I booked 2 years ago and had no fault....
