"It was a good one night stay while we were on the road. Very nice staff. The room was clean, but felt old and worn. The bathroom sink drained very slowly. (I let them know so hopefully it will be fixed) biggest disappointment was the breakfast. I wouldn’t even call it “breakfast included.” They provided coffee, tea, and juice along with sugary, unhealthy muffins and danish in plastic bags. No milk. Only non-dairy creamer (more chemicals). We love this area and had previously stayed at The Evening Shade a few times and next door at Carters Lodge. We were really sad that one is gone and the other boarded up. "As many other reviews have stated, the Shaded Crest is a real gem of a place with wonderful hosts. The cabin was perfect for our stay both inside and out with the other facilities including the pool and spa which were welcome in very hot weather. Everything was spotless and the hosts were not just very welcoming helpful but passed on some great advice for our onward travel. The only downside is that we only had one night there!"
