"The hot breakfasts were very good with lots of selection. The front desk staff were accommodating and friendly. I didn't like how dark the entryway was - almost foreboding! Need a table of some sort around the sink in the bathroom for toiletries. No air conditioning. We were fortunate that the weather was cooler when we stayed so kept the window open all night and the room cooled off."

"A beautiful collection hotel in an old historic building. The breakfast is delicious with a few organic and healthful choices. The hotel uses organic shampoo, conditioner and lotion in the room. The location is very convenient in the heart of the old town. We loved it. "

"Wonderful hotel in a great location just down the street from Kalmar Castle and the train station. Shops and restaurants within a five minute walk. Room was clean, comfortable, cozy, and nicely appointed. Warm breakfast was served in the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff was absolutely amazing, very friendly and hospitable. I can’t emphasize enough how welcoming the staff was. I will definitely be staying at Slottshottelet next time I visit Kalmar. It truly felt like a home away from home."
