"Beautiful spot with lots of privacy."

"It is a motel, great place to get a good night's sleep after hiking the nearby trails. It's not a five star resort/hotel, but it's clean, we'll maintained, lots of parking, and the host was really friendly."

"Great updated historical property! Food was excellent and enjoyed the bars with different settings and live music."

"The location was nice, clean, and easy to access the major roadways for tourist activitie but was off the roadway enough to be quiet and peaceful. The breakfast wasn't very good though."

"We enjoyed our stay!"

"The room was clean & well kept, parking was very convenient, staff was very friendly & helpful."

"Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations....

"Perfect for a short stay. Close to the Blue Ridge and lots of hikes"

"The place was very nice. Hosts were excellent."

"Perfectly suited for a trip for two in a remote mountain escape. We enjoyed a quiet peaceful stay with the basic necessities."

"Paid most for this motel so far on weel long motorcycle trip. Worst motel s ok far. Needed a place from rain. So it fit the bill. Asked about coffee in am when checking in and was told he would try but not to cry if it wasnt there. Room apparently not used for while as water was cut off to sink and toilet. I turned it on so no problem. Why am i writing this review? When mgr tells me not to cry if there is not coffee tells me he might. Not get out of bed to make it. Poor attitude a d laziness...
