"This hotel needs to be rated much much much lower. Our first room smelled terrible, the floors were very dirty and within a minute we found a roach. We went to the front desk and requested a new room, they moved us and that room was better but not great. New room still had stained sheets and unclean floors and a smashed bug on the wall. It was too late at night to try to change again. No staff around in the morning to ask for refund. NOT worth staying here even for the price. Expedia reviews...

"Not very clean floors needed a vacuum, bathroom floor was dirty. The room had a sliding door to a balcony that literally fell apart when it was opened. The pool was empty with muck and outdoor furniture in it. We had a group of 8 and we were very tired and just needed to rest."

"Room was not cleaned properly. There was human hair in both the bathroom sink and bathtub. Also, the lighting fixtures were covered with dust and hairs and needed wiping down. The room had an odd smell. The rest of the facility was in good order and the free breakfast very good."

"We have stayed before at this unique Hampton Inn, built around an historic mansion. We had a king bed room in the modern wing, larger than most Hamptons. Easy access from I-82 and close to the historic center. We make annual trips along this route and recommend the hotel. Lexington is worth a visit. Walkable and interesting historic center. Many educational plaques set into sidewalks. Loved the sign near Stonewall Jackson’s house describing him as “teacher and gardener” during his time as...

"The staff attending to the breakfast was frequently unable to be found and when asking the woman working the front desk to help with pancakes, she was annoyed an unpleasant. She also had no issue once it was fixed of making herself a large plate of them and sitting at the front desk eating her breakfast...after only arriving shortly before that for her shift to start. The hotel was clean otherwise and the room was what we expected."
