"Had a lovely one night stay at this beautiful hotel which has lots of character. I paid for a larger sea view room which had been recently renovated and even had a four-poster bed which was a nice surprise. It was spotlessly clean. The communal areas are a little tired but I expected they might be given the level of investment it would take to update everywhere. Breakfast was buffet style and fairly basic but sufficient. "I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions over the last year and found it to be very comfortable, peaceful, scenic, with lovely staff and good food and also a conveniently close distance to the M4. Generally the accommodation is of a high standard of cleanliness and comfort. I was disappointed on my last visit however, to find that my booked suite had been 'upgraded'.
