"I stayed at this hotel in Michigan for two days and wanted to share my experience. While there were some positives, there were a few areas that could use improvement. When I first entered the room, I noticed that some of the napkins provided were damp, which was a bit unexpected. Additionally, a number of the towels appeared to have stains, so I didn’t feel comfortable using them. During the night, there were some unusual noises, and at one point, a guest mistakenly approached my door and tried to speak to me, which made the experience feel a bit unsettling. Overall, I believe with some attention to cleanliness and guest security, the stay could be much more comfortable for future visitors."

"The kitchen was not great. No microwave, had expresso machine we prefer coffee pot or kuerig they did bring after asking twice. No dish towel or dish soap ect. Pretty sparse."

"The staff was not helpful when we asked for help nor were they friendly about it. We did not get the room that we had reserved for a family of four making a miserable night’s stay. The pool was not clean and cool. The hallways and common areas reeked of marijuana. We will not book here again in the future."

"Beautiful hotel in Birmingham, an upscale area With restaurants and shops. I would call the Townsend a 4.5 hotel, not quite a Ritz, but way above a nice Marriott. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever, the staff responsive, the room well designed and the bathroom lovely. The shower was not strong. "
