"The hotel is well-located and kept in fairly good shape. I was surprised when I entered my room to find that someone had done a bowel movement in the toilet and it was left unflushed. That really soured me on the whole stay. Although I was meant to arrive in the afternoon, flight delays in Frankfurt meant I didn’t arrive until ~10 pm. I was surprised to find the hotel bar closing by the time I arrived. Who closes a hotel bar at 10 pm. Ridiculous. At that point, I determined not to eat or do anything but sleep at the hotel. It is, finally, overpriced."

"The room was super small for the price, even for London. Cleaniness is alright, no shampoo or body wash provided, all they have in the shower room is ‘hand wash’ (no jokes). Early check-in cost £50 (fair enough whatever), but storing a piece of small luggage (hand luggage for flights) at reception costs £15! Absolutely hideous. Won’t be going again for sure."

"On the plus side, the bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent and the breakfast room was lovely. The location of the hotel was first class. On the negative side, despite checkin being at 3.00 pm, our room was not ready when we arrived at 4.00 pm and we had to sit in the lounge area until 4.30 before receiving our keys. After heading out, I received a WhatsApp message from the hotel about “my complaint yesterday” about the leaky air conditioning and an offer of a change of room. That complaint had obviously been made by the previous occupant of the room. I had noticed a very small amount of water on the floor but thought nothing of it. On receiving the message, I queried why I had been allocated a room which had been the subject of that complaint. The very minor leak continued over the next two days but it was not bad enough to warrant repacking my things and moving."

"The location of this property is amazing! Being able to step out your front door onto Piccadilly Circus is worth the small inconveniences that come with a hotel room that is stripped back to basics. The bathroom situation suits couples, but isn’t ideal for a scenario where the people sharing a room aren’t romantically involved. We were also disappointed that we could only have 1 pillow on each bed (requested a second but denied because they didn’t have enough)."
