"I loved that old cottage and am glad it is in good use. It's nicely furnished and the village where it is situated is delightful. Two negatives were the dog smell in the lounge and poor state of plants in pots. While the dog smell is probably unavoidable as dogs are allowed, the dead plants brought about a depressing impression. Being a gardener, I tried to look after the remaining plants and had to transplant one huge heuchera plants that was literally hanging in the air as its pot was...

"A real home-from-home with all the things you need for a stay away. Plush bedding, plenty of utilities and a few extras like a coffee machine and TVs in all the bedrooms. So close to the beach too."

"The advert on the hotels.com website did not match the facts of the stay. The advert states free parking it was not it cost me £30 for the stay. We spoke to the owner who stated that the advert was not placed by him. It was the fault of hotels.com as he does not use them you get your info from a 3rd party All I know is that I am £30 out of pocket. The stay was good as I can not blame hotels.com for all the rain."

"I absolutely loved staying at this cottage. It was so homely, beautifully decorated, very clean, extremely comfortable bed and had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect everything on our doorstop. Would highly recommend to anyone and would definitely book again. The only issue I had was contacting the host prior to the booking. But we managed to speak to Skye cottages eventually and was able to ask the questions we had."

"The property is in a very good location, a very short walk to both the beach and the back beach in a quiet street. Everything in the property is of a high standard. We had a lovely stay and would definitely rebook if in the area again."

"Kelly was absolutely lovely. She made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived and was very attentive throughout my stay. The place was spotless, comfortable, cozy and well equipped, and the scones on arrival were a lovely touch. Thank you so much — would love to come again!"

"The room was clean, bed comfortable, but the room was really hot, even with the fan on. since the room was at the front with one aspect it was very hard to get air into the room and it would benefit a lot from Air Con. Parking was available, but it was additional cost. The breakfast was very good value."
"Each year on return, we notice less maintenance and upkeep. We,always have to insist on a change of room, they try give the same room on check in with view of ugly roof, blocking some sea view. However, they did upgrade the room, but it’s the fact we are at first always offered this room above the ugly roof.
No washcloths this time, and upkeep was not cleaned throughly. But acceptable.
Dining food, once again failed us. We end up eating out for the most part. Buffet breakfast is always a good experience, and we enjoy that each morning .
The hotel definitely meets the needs of its members first , and weddings etc . Members with daily access to pool , etc means there are less beds for hotel customers . Some members will stay all day, every day and there are not enough sunbeds. Which is unfair for those on holiday during busier season.
This Hotel is definitely not equipped for disabled, there is. No easy access to the pool for disabled if you want to swim. Most staff, are great, and we have our favorites who fortunately are always around during our stay.
Overall, we love the views , location and easy access to buses and trains that run frequently, and the lovely be"
"Really nice place staff really go out their way to help would recommend it to all indoor and outdoor swimming pools ,gym , snooker room we will be going back"
"This was a lovely place to stay! I love the fact it was sporty and healthy lifestyle based.
Our room, facing the atrium, could have been a little cleaner, we found some of the glasses in the room dirty. The shower, however, is so nice! Beds were comfortable and the room was remarkably soundproof given its position. Courtesy bathrobes would have been nice as I didn’t want to buy or rent one.
We used the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi each day but the hydro pool was out of order. The pool staff were very attentive and keen to maintain the safety of the area as well as make sure that the rules (no phones/photos etc) were adhered to. We ate in the bar overlooking the gold course, this was nice. Prices may seem a little high for some though (£10 for a medium glass of Merlot for example).
We did enjoy our stay, the atmosphere is lovely!"
