"Check in is done with your phone, so its super easy. The hotel is a stunning example of respectful renovation and is very well kept. Fourth-floor views from the room were spectacular! The room was perfectly clean, the towels were fresh, and the sheets were spotless. Very comfy bed + loved sleeping next to the original boiler heater. There was a rolling heater for the bathroom/supplemental heat. I appreciated the amenities of mini-fridge, microwave, deep sink, and coffee maker. The options in town are very limited (almost non-exisitent mid week in winter) so if you can bring your own provisions this is handy. Coffee is Folgers so I bring my own. Housekeeping was friendly, and staff allowed for a late check out to accomodate an appointment in town which was very nice of them!
Of note: the cafe in the hotel is closed indefinitely. Bar has fried food, hand pressed burgers, freshly sliced veg and was very good! Pizza is also a solid choice with homemade dough and sauce. Coffee shop is eclectic and makes a killer cuppa joe but only open Sat/Sun. Don't miss the bakery in town for soup, sandwiches and top notch pastries. General store has grab and go food, basic provisions. Family Dollar in CC has most everything else. "
"This hotel was amazing. My partner and I drove 16 hours and were exhausted, we saw avid hotel and from reviews it seemed like the cleanest and safest location. I was weary at check in as reviews from other locations stated rude workers but I was greeted my the nicest lady. I may not have made sense as I was running on no sleep but she still made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The room was clean and we enjoyed the coffee machine. Will be staying here again. "
