What a wonderful stay at this lovely boutique hotel. I loved the quirkiness of the room and coffee on the small roof terrace was very relaxing after long days of sightseeing. Sophia was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend

We loved our stay at Benci! It’s in a prime location and surprisingly quiet, given it’s above a bar. Super clean, cute, and comfortable. If you have a larger checked bag be aware there are steps up to the guest house, but it wasn’t an issue for us. The bar downstairs (Moyo Bar) is also very hospitable and a great spot for an espresso or drink. We had a car and the parking garage Benci recommended was close and easy to find. Would definitely book again and highly recommend!

Wonderful stay in Florence

Lovely place to stay with great service. We arrived by car, and Sofia prearranged our garage entrance and also called an hour ahead so the car was ready for us. Sofia also helped us make a reservation to a restaurant that was fully booked. The room was beautiful and comfortable and clean. Breakfast at a cafe downstairs was also really good with eggs/bacon options. The location was great, we did not hear the club downstairs, as mentioned by other reviews.

There is a lot to love about this guesthouse and any critiques are more FYIs than true cons. As a guest house it isn’t like a traditional hotel but we loved it. Pros - staff was amazing. They used what’s app to communicate with no language barrier and were friendly and helpful. - free breakfast and serve yourself coffee - room was beautiful, the bed was so comfy and as we had an interior room, we didn’t hear any street noise at all. - loved the location near a trendier area away from the main tourist area. But still walkable from Tram 2 (but a bit of a hike!) Cons - second floor so not accessible - room was very small. We stayed two nights and had backpacks but if you are a heavy packer this may not be for you. - bathroom felt a bit dark. If you like brighter lighting to do your make up it may not be for you.

The property was absolutely lovely! The rooms are appointed with modern, high end finishes and felt very fancy. The staff was amazing and helpful, and the included breakfast was wonderful. It's super convenient to all the attractions and easy to get in and out. That being said, it is neighbors with a nightclub and the music can be heard in the rooms until late at night. We were able to sleep through it, but some might struggle. Also, the room was fairly small, although lovely. And the bathroom was high end, but very, very dark. Shower was great, but almost impossible to put on makeup!

Beautiful boutique in in great location.

Benci House is a small boutique inn with only four rooms. Rooms are very modern with high end furnishings. Maria, the inn manager is very service oriented. The inn has a balcony where you can have cocktails at night (BYOB). The location is also ideal near Santa Croce.

Rather serviced apartment than hotel

The accommodation is located at the eastern edge of the city's historic centre. It's a 25 min. walk to the central station and a 10 min. walk to do Dome. There are lots of good restaurants nearby, e.g. in Via Torta, and excellent ice cream shops, e.g. Gelateria dei Neri in Via dei Neri. To reach the apartments from the airport you can take the bus to central station and switch to a mini bus to benci, which may take up to one and a half hours altogether. So we chose to go by taxi which took us 25 minutes. As Benci house is rather a serviced apartment accommodation than a hotel, there is no reception desk. The staff contacted us in advance to set a date for checkin. The room was one of the most stylish and though one of the most comfortable we ever had. It was very clean and very new. The breakfast which was included was served in a bar on the ground floor of the adjacent building. It seemed that it was not well defined what exactly was included in the booked breakfast. For freshly squeezed orange juice you had to be lucky, the contingent of oranges was limited to a few per day and if you didn't pay attention orange juice from the supermarket sneaked in. Black tea was also out of stack after I had the chance to be served the last teabag on day one. Personnel was very nice and helpful whenever asked.

Dejligt ophold i Firenze

Vi havde tre overnatninger og var rigtig tilfredse med opholdet. Stedet var super fedt indrettet og værelserne var store og rummelige. Det lå lige op af en bar, så der var lidt støj om natten, men vi havde ørepropper med og var derfor ikke generet af det. Morgenmaden der er inkluderet var på cafeen nedenfor og var glas juice eller kaffe samt croissant eller sandwich. Ikke det bedste, men fint at det var der.

Disappointed by the service

Booked for 2 nights. Stayed for 1. They moved us the second day to another hotel. They told us that is even better, but was a fraud. I imagine they overbooked (in Italy they do this often). When moved to the other hotel, i called them to ask for another hotel. The answer I got was disappointing: "sorry there is nothing we can do..." They didi not give us the room I had booked, but passed us from 2 other rooms first. I had to fight to get the room I had booked. After they moved us to the other hotel, and their indifference, i got ungry, and all they had to say was that I could not behave! (That was their trick to avoid their responsibilities)

Great spot near everything!

Great location and it looks just like the photos! Our room smelled like smoke so that was the only downfall. Staff super friendly and it was very quiet (yay!). Only 4 rooms which was really nice! Would stay again.

Precioso y céntrico alojamiento

Pequeño alojamiento con buenos servicios y situación perfecta, en el centro historico de la ciudad. Decoración elegante y con mucho estilo. Por encima de todo esto destacamos a Sofía, siempre dispuesta a ayudar en cualquier cosa que puedas necesitar de forma inmediata. Si estás pensando en viajar a Florencia, sin duda "Benci House" es una elección segura.

Una gran experiencia en este hotel. En concreto estuvimos en la habitación Rovere, preciosa, original y acogedora. El hecho de que no tenga recepción es un punto a su favor, mucho más íntimo . Trato formidable y cercano por parte de la persona que nos recibió, Sofía . Deseando repetir pronto!!
