"Not a jolly welcome…. But staff were friendly and answered our questions. Restaurant was very good for evening meal and breakfast. Close to Montecassino which is well worth seeing. Also the CommonWealth WWII cemetery is worth a visit."

To make a long story short, the front desk manager listened and understood that there was a communication issue that led to us being overcharged. "Likes: . Very close to a fantastic beach as well as half hour walk to the old town. . A lot to see near the hotel. Dislikes: . Pool was closed as of September, but this is not communicated when booking. One of the reasons i went there was the pool they have and advertised. Not sure why pool was closed if A/C is still running. . Shower temperature fluctuations were extreme. Water would get very hot then very cold. . No draft beer or good tequila in the bar. Bar man did not seem to have much knowledge of drinks. I know it is a wine country, but the availability should be there."

"While our room was very clean, it did have old mold on the shower. This hotel is older, but it probably used to be very grand. One of the things we loved was that it included our own reserved umbrella and beach lounges. It also had a balcony with a beautiful sunset view over the sea. We couldn't get really excited about the breakfast, either, but it was definitely adequate. The small town was quiet and sleepy, not a party place. It was very reasonably priced and a good value."
