"I had a really great stay at Villa Maïa in Lyon. The hotel sits up on Fourvière Hill, so the views over the city are absolutely beautiful, especially in the morning and at sunset. "The room was great, the staff was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast really good, they have plenty of options. There is only 1 person working at the spa so me and my wife had to schedule separate massages. Maybe it’s because of the day, me and my wife stayed on a Tuesday. If you don’t mind that tho, this place is great and really beautiful to walk around inside and outside the property."

Only problem was the elevator broke but the helped move our luggage down two flights of stairs. This is a great location if you are visiting old town. Everything is within walking distance. "We loved everything about this hotel. The staff were wonderful as was the breakfast, room service and bar area. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. We enjoyed the balcony overlooking the square. It was in a great location for shopping, dining and seeing the city sights. Highly recommend!"

"The staff is kind, helpful and attentive. Any problem or inconvenience was addressed immediately. My room was clean and the housekeeper was always willing to do more for me. I loved the location of the Hotel. It is within 5 minutes of a weekend Farmers Market. There were lots of shops, restaurants and French Grocery stores near by. Walking is easy with several pedestrian bridges available for crossing the river. I will happily return in the future.."

It’s close to excellent restaurants and several points of interest that can easily be reached on foot.That said, be careful if you stay during the summer and the weather is very hot, as the rooms in this hotel do not have air conditioning, which can be a problem during high-temperature summers."

The room fit and fondue do not reflect the price - layouts are quite strange, ie. no sink on the same floor as the toilet and shower. "I loved this hotel and the staff was absolutely amazing. Located just a block or two from shopping and the hotel has its own parking garage. Rooms have AC and the front desk has someone at it at all times. Staff was great and recommended things to do and how to get to them like the cathedral at the top of the hill overlooking the city of Lyon. "
