"Near stadium"

"I really enjoyed my stay. I was in for a baseball game and the walk to Kauffman only took about 16 minutes. The property appears well maintained. Although towels are a bit on the small side. As I was only one person, it was not an issue. I would definitely recommend Hotel Lotus, especially for a ball game, It is a bit far too commute to downtown Kansas City. Also, the AC was excellent!!! I love a cold room!!!"

"The room was what i expected for the price i paid. One of the beds was uneven. The bathroom sink drained really slow. The breakfast was limited. It was ok if you just needed a place to crash for the night like I did."

"Property is under massive renovation. Construction materials are scattered in and out of the buildings. Parking lot was full of nails and barely usable. Several of the security doors had no locks. Hallways had no air conditioning. Our suite had no sitting area. The shower had no hot water. Kitchen had cookware but no eating utensils. Breakfast was biscuits and gravy, powdered eggs and undercooked sausage and bacon. Inedible at best. Unfortunately we had booked three nights and never felt safe...

"Top cover of the blanket of the bed was stain. Bathroom tub was really run-down. Bathroom door won't close. Stains on the ceiling tiles. Hallways were being renovated. And someone was working on a vehicle outside the room window for more than 4hrs in the middle of the night."

"What a nightmare!!! If it wasn't late, my husband and I would go to another hotel. We we walked in the lobby so of speak, the staff was caged behind a bullet proof like room. He rolled a draw out to take my ID and credit card. He said a $50 deposit is required in case we damage the room. What a joke. There is nothing possible that we will take or damage in the room. There was a small fee associated with that $50 deposit. When we walked to our room, there were people sitting outside of the room...

"Roaches in room.no amenities Drink machine in lobby broken.pool closed.they tell you on phone that pool is being remodeled wrong just covered.staff rude.you have to ask staff for replacement of breakfast items at 7am when breakfast starts at 6am."

"Check-in was tedious, granted it was late night(actually early morning, 1-130am), booking was via Travago via Expedia and all my info entered on line prior to arriving had to be re-entered at check-in. Upon entering the room the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling loosely and I was unable to secure it to the ceiling. Toilet was not working as the tank was draining the water and first flush proved no water in tank, Removed tank top and just left it on floor so I could manually fill tank...

"poor cleanliness and sanitation. pool not open until after 5 PM and much smaller than in picture. aircon was blasted to almost 50 degrees the whole night, too cold."

"The only good thing about this hotel is the location if you are going to a sporting event. If you generally like Holiday Inn Express, lower your expectations. Old, outdated and in need of major renovation. I think it was clean but it was hard to tell from how old everything was. Carpet looks to be from the 80s, and not in a cool vintage way. The blow dryer in the room was rusted, the shower had broken off shelves, there were paint splatters on the walls and it was definitely not Dove products...
