"I liked the more old-fashioned style and wooden furniture of this place, but various things were a bit worn and the bathroom floor looked rather dirty. Unfortunately, the drains have cockroaches; two showed up from the bathtub drain during my stay. (Plug the drain when not in use if you visit.) In other words, the place needs some work, but not too bad considering the very low price and great location. The front office staff were also very polite and helpful."

"Davis Brook Retreat is not to be missed! The property is stunning, peaceful, and had everything you could need. The hot tub was amazing! Feels very remote while also being less than a 10 minute drive into town. The owners also gave us some great hiking recommendations! Would 100% stay here again. "

"I have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. It has undergone a few rebrandings, as it is now. I have always appreciated that it is a budget hotel with a kitchen to save some $ making breakfast in the room. However... When I received my confirmation for this stay there was a disclaimer that the hotel is under renovation but no work is done after 5pm.
