"Excellent location only a few blocks from Stanley Park and numerous awesome restaurants. And walkable to all the other excellent attractions. My only concern is some questionable designs and amenities of the rooms.
The shower is not set up correctly. You literally have to be inside of the shower to turn the water on, so you're going to get blasted by cold water before it even has time to warm up. This also contributes to water splashing outside on to the floor. Very poor design.
The blinds on the windows are a two vertical open and close solid white sheets so you only have two choices. A total blackout for privacy or complete exposure of your room since all the rooms face each other between a courtyard on the third floor. The blinds should be more like single vertical strips for a choice of light coming in and privacy.
And one last thing. The TV is a Roku streaming which only gives you streaming choices(and not good choices I might add) and does not have basic channels available such as CBS, NBC, or FOX. Not even Vancouver basic channels. This means no college sports or American pro sports like MLB/NBA/NFL. Granted, I was here on vacation so television should not be a priority. However, I should have that choice to make so it's pretty ridiculous. Maybe it's an American thing since we love our televisions.
That being said, these are fixable and the hotel staff were excellent. They let me check in early and I was able to extend my check out. That's big! I would come back"
