"The nearby Rick's Burger joint or something is just fire!
I think my kids spent 4 hours straight in the pool. It was awesome during a very hot summer day with a high UV index.
I have two complaints even though I still gave five stars cuz of the price.
There was no way to plug a cable into the TV so that we could stream movies from our laptop like we do at hotels across the country. The TP was flush mounted tightly against the wall so only local channels and crap dish TV.
Second and this is a big sticker for me. I hope they see this. On Expedia the place was listed 16 mi away from bass's Rivers Resort where we were headed the next morning. Now maybe if we could have flown straight there.... But in reality it was about an hour away.
Oh and side note the breakfast was okay nothing fancy at all but they only offered styrofoam plates after so while there was a waffle maker we put the waffles onto the styrofoam plate and the waffles melted into the plate and that really got under my skin.
I'm going to go take a star off for the styrofoam plates."
"Clean but older hotel. The walls need to be painted, the wall behind the toilet tank was gross, the breakfast was very limited and the lovely laminate hard wood floors were dirty and should be mopped between guests. The walls were thin and there was a family with small children next to us and, with a closed shared door, it sounded like they were in the same room. With two sound machines, Tylenol PM, ear plugs and the AC/fan on high, we made it through the night. Kids will be kids and make noise but beware that the walls are thin. We did feel safe but definitely needs to be upgraded."
"Room (103) was spacious, very clean and was spartan in appearance. Furniture was relatively new and undamaged and wall recently painted. Relatively quiet location and secure. A/C worked fine, as soon as you figured out how the controls worked. Numerous electrical outlets. Comfortable king-sized bed. Room contained a frig and microwave. TV worked fine. Shower worked OK, although tub enclosure was worn. Surprisingly, no box of available tissue paper. Staff was very courteous and accommodating. Excellent overall for the price, if a basic room is all that is needed."
