"Torbrau has a great central location - one block from the Isator train station, 3 blocks from Marienplatz. If you are looking to have a great vacation without a car, it's a perfect place to walk the Old Town. Good restaurants abound, bike rentals available right around the corner (Mike's Bikes, great people to work with). A short bike ride to the English Garden, where beauty awaits. The best part of Torbrau is their staff: EVERYONE is genuinely pleasant, always helpful to get you what you want/need. It's the oldest Hotel in Munich, so it has smaller rooms than the newer chain hotels, but it's the employees that made a difference for me!"

"Wonderful stay"

"The hotel had a great location. Walking distance to the old town (10 minutes) and the station. Easy to get to by train from the airport. Great sauna and we were the only people in there every time although the steamroom was lacking temperature and poorly functioning. The gym was very poor (2 treadmills, 2 bikes, an elliptical machine and one multifunctional cable machine that does leg extension, hamstring curl, row, pec fly, lat pull down etc). No dumbbells or any other equipment at all. So was an issue if there was another person in the gym on the strength machine the whole time. Breakfast was good- a very nice selection of bacon, sausages, cereals and fresh fruit. The coffee machine made a great morning latte. There should have been some coffee or tea making facilities in the room as there wasn’t even a kettle so couldn’t make a hot drink in the morning or evening. "

"I have many good things to say about Louis Hotel. First and foremost, the staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive. Also, the hotel is in a great location. It's near Marienplatz, The S Bahn, numerous restaurants, and a beer garten. The room and bathroom were of adequate size and water, coffee, and snacks were placed in the room at no additional charge. The one negative thing that I must mention is that the mattress was thin and not comfortable. A more comfortable mattress would make a huge difference and a 5 star experience. "

"The staff were wonderful and made us feel right at home instantly. The location was great for proximity to the central station but a bit of a walk to the sights we wanted to see. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Munich!"
