"After requesting a quite room at time of booking we originally were located in no such room - friendly reception staff accommodated us but at our expense as they only had quite superior rooms. Which we paid the extra for. However do not be fooled by the name superior it was simply large. The furnishings were not what you would expect for a 4star - equally the toiletries were basic. That said the rooms was clean and the bed linen acceptable. "
"The Room was cleaned and well stocked with slippers, tissues, nail file etc. We did find the sound proof rooms, not very good, could hear people next door. Hotel is placed near to all the shops and restaurants, and the pool and spar facilities were excellent, though would suggest you give your guests free towels in around the pool."
"A lovely hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, clean and the wellness centre was beautiful. Great location, lots of things to do within walking distance. "
"Overall, we were a little bit disappointed with our stay at L’Arveyron. When we first got there, the staff was very nice and helpful which was great, but before we walked into our room they mentioned they were having a "barbecue" outside that night. Our room was right above reception and rather than a barbecue it was more of a massive party outside and in the libby of the hotel with a DJ and karaoke. We were happy to put up with people having a good time, but once it got to midnight and we were prepared to wake up at 6am to ski the next morning we were very annoyed that we weren't informed of how loud it would be. Neither of us slept the first night we were there and we even used noise canceling headphones to try to tune it out and nothing helped. We understand that the spot is not advertised as quiet, but we were definitely falsely told about the plans for the evening. The room itself was pretty nice for the most part, but the shower has a lot of mold on the shower head, and also on the bottom of the door there was a bunch. Location wise we enjoyed the spot, but overall if we were to come back to Chamonix again, I would choose this as the last place I would want to stay. "
"This hotel offers virtually no service. While bed linens are provided, guests are expected to make the beds themselves and even strip them before leaving. You’re also required to thoroughly clean the room upon departure, or an extra charge will apply. Basic essentials like toilet paper and soap were either missing or insufficient. Overall, it does not offer good value for the price. Not recommending it!"
"The was an excellent hotel, the staff were extremely polite and helpful and provided recommendations for where to go, and to eat in Chanonix.
The hotel has great amenities and is a short walk from the Brevant gondola, meaning on arrival we were able to hire equipment from the hotel and be in the chairlift within 30 minutes.
The Spa made for a very relaxing apres-ski and was never too crowded.
Overall a great stay and would come again"
