"Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, though we could use more sockets for chargers. Bathroom was clean but a bit worn out. There were toiletries in the bathroom.
We liked the decor: a charming old country style. And I appreciated a par of chairs outside our room.
One lamp in the room wasn’t working but it was promptly fixed by a nice and helpful guy from the reception. There was a temporary internet outage but immediately an access to starlink was provided and it was fast enough. We had burgers/beers in a tavern accross the road - very convenient, 50 yards from our room. I’ll definitely stay there if again in the area.
Since it is a motel, we could park our car in front of the room."
"The staff was very informative about the local area! The look of the room did not match the fancy of the sign. It’s an old property that needs a lot of updating. I travel a lot and expect places like Red Lion and etc. to have a higher standard and look."
"Owned by descendants of the Gilchrist family who started this last industrial town. The couple was very friendly, helpful and personable. Nice swimming pool. Nice yard games for children to play and adults to enjoy as well."
"The biggest issue to be aware of is that this hotel does not have an elevator. So any rooms on the second floor require dragging luggage up stairs.
They have always had a first floor room available but if we ever got a second floor room we would not be able to carry the luggage up the stairs."
"Refrigerator was iced over, had to put a piece of wood in front of door to keep it shut. Couldn’t get a pint of ice cream in the freezer because of built up ice. We asked for more towels and TP, got that but the person didn’t pick up the garbage while they were there. When you flushed the toilet it sounded like a jet taking off due to air in the lines, same with the kitchen sink, spit water everywhere. $5/night for internet that would only support 2 devices and that didn’t work half the time is a bit outrageous. When we added an extra night to fish it cost double what I booked for originally. What a ripoff. We will stay somewhere else next year for the opening week of fishing at Odell."
"Don't judge a book by its cover.....I enjoyed my stay at this lodge. Located in a small town but close to so much. You have within a drive a National Park, waterfalls and hotsprings. There is a gas station and sandwich shop across the street. Reception was professional, room was clean and spacious. Nice hot shower. You can't go wrong with this lodge. Book today!"
"We were visiting family friends so we didn’t spend much time there but I would definitely come back. We stayed in a cottage and it was comfortable for 3 of us (1 couple, 1single). It was great having a full kitchen but we only had time to use the fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The floor/ceiling fan needed a cleaning but that was nothing compared to all of the positives. Beautiful grounds and John that checked us in and out was very helpful and friendly. "
