"Overall, it was a wonderful stay for us at the traditional Ryokan! The staff and service were amazing; whenever we had an issue they fixed it within minutes. We enjoyed the authentic Kaiseki dinner and breakfast. Would highly recommend it to anyone traveling near Kyoto!"

"This property, the owners and the staff were all wonderful. Try the traditional breakfast, it is a must do. The property is charming, the size of the room is a great value and everything is clean and orderly. The location is superior, close to Nishiki Market, high end shopping and only about a 10 minute walk to public transportation. Many good food choices close by from small authentic restaurants to the many food stalls in Nishiki Market Taxis as very reasonable in Kyoto, so feel free to use...

"Our unit came with two bedrooms, one full bathroom and an extra toilet/sink, a dining area, refrigerator, microwave, and even a Dyson hairdryer. They provided all the bathroom amenities including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, face wash, face lotion, body lotion, wash cloths, razor, hair brush, shower caps, q tips, and toothbrushes. "This place is great, it was our first time staying at a ryokan. The staff’s hospitality and service is 10/10. The futons were very soft and comfy. A lot of space in the room. Only downside for us was it’s kinda far from the station so just a lot of walking. Will recommend!"

"This is a charming historic ryokan. We loved the traditional breakfast we had each morning and the kaiseki dinner on our last night. The onsen is also terrific. The location truly can’t be beat. We were easily able to walk to almost all of the places we wanted to visit. There are great bakeries, coffee shops and cafes just steps away. And finally the staff here is the best! They went above and beyond to welcome us and share a bit of Japanese culture with us. Highly recommend. "

"The best service I've ever experienced in a hotel. Staff were incredible, friendly and spoke very good English. The breakfast was exceptional, well worth the price, and the onsen was clean and had a good view. Rooms were tidy and in good condition. There's also a coin operated washing machine and dryer on site which came in useful. Would highly recommend, and would gladly return in the future."
