"The location is ideal and within a short walk, just a few minutes,to shopping, restaurants, a park and across the street from the lake. Free parking with ample places. The room is not large but fine for a few nights. The grounds are well maintained. Everything was clean and the staff were friendly and responsive. We only had breakfast one morning there but they only had one staff person serving the entire dining room. She was excellent but run off her feet. We waited about 40 minutes for...

"A charming Inn to stay and enjoy all that passes by in Lock 7. Hskp staff very attentive and don’t miss a thing. Room 25 on 3rd floor is not perfect for photography as the neighbouring tree blocks a full shot of the ship in the lock. Balconies are a real plus and very clean! The chairs at the table are getting tired and should be replaced. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Make sure you visit the quaint town of Thorold. Lots of cafes and shops to enjoy within walking distance!"

"Breakfast was decent and free parking is nice. The lobby is great, and pool amenities. Staff are very nice. However, this hotel is outdated. The rooms, hallways smells. The washrooms and elevators are small and need to be maintained. Location is perfect but overall I think it’s over priced for the comfort and cleanliness it offers."

"It was cheap and as described. Lots of parking and was walkable to restaurants. A little spot maintenance and a paint job would do so much for the rooms. The lobby looks so nice and then you walk into a room that’s quite dated. But like I said it’s as advertised, breakfast was good."

"Our room on the River view section on the 6th floor of the tower provided a great view of the bridal veil falls and the Skylon Tower. Our room was spacious and clean. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We didn’t use the indoor pool but we did check it out. It was very nice and clean. My husband and I enjoyed our stay."
