"All good, nice clean room, good selection of beers and wine, decent area outside if weather permits, and a very enjoyable meal in the evening. The village itself is very quiet, but would certainly recommend if looking for an overnight stay to break up a journey north or south."

The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "It’s a premier inn Self check in seemed ok a bit impersonal On arrival we were early and no power in hotel but all good we returned later It’s on a courtyard shared with sainsbury Penrith itself isn’t very inviting but the hotel is ok"

The room was absolutely boiling and even with the windows open all evening it was a poor nights sleep. No aircon and only a little fan. Very firm mattress but it realise this is preference. My husband loved it but I didn’t sleep at all. Close to amenities and nice and quiet. Overall would stay again."

"A grand hotel in the countryside, it's a shame the state it's in now. The carpet is worn out in place's, the game's room is a complete mess and the hotel smells damp & musty. The dining room is grand and well maintained, the food is pretty good. The staff are friendly and helpful."
