"Me and my boyfriend had an amazing little getaway from our busy lives here. Much needed break. They were so accommodating, the beds are so comfy, the spa was lovely and so were the cocktails. The staff were so professional and kind. We plan to come back and maybe even for a little longer. "

Great service at check-in and lovely evening meal. bathroom could have done with an update - not quite to the same standard as the bedroom itself. and a couple more hand towels would have helped. view of St Marthas were not so visible due to the condensation on the windows in the morning and the blinds, but we had a wonderful time. might be useful to have a slightly later check-in and later check-out. 10am check-out may be fine for a city hotel midweek, but on a sunday morning in a country pub after a lovely meal the night before, it felt a little rushed. "

"Top quality food. Steak & Ale pie to die for and excellent fish & chips. Great breakfast with quality produce. Brilliant selection of ales. Old fashioned English Inn with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Tidy room with a modern en-suite shower room. Bed not to our liking but that's very much a personal choice. In a very quiet location with no shops nearby but would recommend for an overnight stay."

"This is a quaint hotel on the Main Street of Guildford. It is a fairly old and creaky establishment but this, along with the delightful couple that run the hotel, add to its charm. My room was extremely spacious and well appointed. There is a good and popular restaurant downstairs and a rather surprising Cabaret/Bar called ‘Fallen Angel’ on site. I might recommend a room not close to or above the bar as there was a lot of “energy” coming from it. Don’t expect a Hilton experience. You are getting quirky British here. The village of Guildford is a good alternative to staying in central London if you want a more small town experience. The alleyways have great little cafes and establishments including great beers at a small craft beer place around the corner. It’s a lot more affordable than central London and it’s only a 35 minute train ride to Waterloo. "

"Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, especially Scarlet. Breakfast is delicious and the accommodations were comfortable, clean and appealing. A great location to explore downtown Guildford from. We even walked there from train station (good way to get our steps in)."

"We were just in transit and the M25 were closed just before the hotel. We spend over an extra hour to get there. Of course the hotel has no control of the road work. Staff was friendly and check in was smooth at 1 am. The room was comfortable and good value for money. "
