"Alles Bestens"

"Overall nice hotel but always find it annoying when being charged hidden costs. I had prepaid but they still charged 10€ for "city tax", which is not mentioned anywhere. Also read this in another persons review, which the hotel acknowledged, but still a problem apperantly. "

"Das Esplanade Spa ist ein tolles Wellness Erwachsenen Hotel, in das es mich seit einigen Jahren immer wieder zum Erholungs-Kurztrip verschlägt. Dieses Mal gibt es jedoch nur 4, von 5 möglichen Punkten, da es beim Check-In und auch der Zimmerselektion ein paar Probleme gab. Das Personal war aber freundlich wie immer und hat uns ein besseres, da ruhigeres Zimmer in der 2. Nacht gegeben. Ich werde auf alle Fälle wieder kommen zum saunieren, schlemmen (u.a. in der Pechhütte) und entspannen ."

"Room was clean neat and tidy, although I think the rooms and hotel were a little dated, although not massively. The staff were friendly and check in/out was simple and straightforward. Great location for my self as I was visiting for a concert which at the venue on the other side of the road and it is a very short walk to the subway so you can get around Berlin very easily. Definitely would stay here again when I’m in town."

"Das Hotel hat nur 2 Aufzüge um auf seine Etage zu kommen. Leider war bei Ankunft davon einer Defekt. Wir waren 7 Tage in diesem Hotel und es macht keinen Anschein, als würde der Aufzug demnächst repariert werden. Dieser o.g. Aufzug wurde nicht nur von Hotelgästen genutzt, sondern auch von Besuchern des Supermarktes im EG, was dazu führte., das man ewig auf den Aufzug warten musste, da dieser hoch und runter fährt aufgrund der vielen Besucher des Gebäudes . "When I walked through the door last Wednesday afternoon, I was greeted with “Welcome back!” So, it was reassuring that I’d made the right choice in returning to GINN City & Lounge Yorck Berlin, after a year. That greeting was so genuine and most appreciated. Then, throughout my 5 night stay, I enjoyed lovely interactions with so many staff members. I have grown to LOVE GINN City & Lounge Yorck Berlin. 💖"

"The hotel is visually beautiful - design wise and the room was very clean. Housekeeping on the first night/day let me down by not cleaning the room properly. Cups weren’t cleaned, they didn’t refill drinks sachets, didn’t tidy bathroom properly. The following days tidy was up to standard, but not the Saturday. Also, no sweet treat- like a little biscuit - for 5 star I really expected something nice…. Checking in was a bit confusing as there was a queue of 5/6 people and 5 staff- but only 1...

"Prima hotel voor prima prijs. Pal tegenover een metrostation, waardoor alles snel bereikbaar was. Kamers waren prima als je het hotel echt alleen als slaapplek gebruikt en er verder niet te veel verblijft. Wel waren de kamers bloedheet en kregen we het niet goed gekoeld voor de nacht zonder zelf in de ijskoude aircostroom te moeten zitten. Zelfs met een raam open kregen we het niet gekoeld, dat had wel echt een negatieve impact op de slaap."
