Grand Hotel President

"We had a very good stay at the Grand Hotel President in Sorrento. The staff were helpful, the hotel was clean, and the breakfast had a good variety of options. The hotel is about an 8-minute shuttle ride from Sorrento’s center, with the shuttle running approximately once an hour. A taxi costs around €35. Walking downhill to town takes about 30 minutes, but travelling with kids, we never attempted the uphill walk back. The swimming pool was a lifesaver during the hot Sorrento afternoons and was definitely one of the highlights of our kids stay. Overall, a clean and comfortable hotel with helpful staff and a great pool. Just keep in mind that getting to and from the center requires some planning."

"We had a great 9 night stay overlooking the bay of Naples. Lauren and the rest of the front desk staff as well as the dining room personnel were very friendly and welcoming. A beautiful stay and the shuttle was very convenient . Grazie Milli see you next time !"

"Fantastic property just outside of Sorrento downtown area. Great pool, poolside dining, also what initially appeared to be two hot tubs in their amazing lemon tree garden, grassy area surrounded by lemon trees, turned out to be cold plunges which were great in the summer heat. The staff were phenomenal and accomodating."

"Good breakfast variety considering the hotel is quite small. Free shuttle timetable from the hotel which you could book on to at short notice to get in and back from Sorrento. Good room size and amenities - dressing gown and slippers were a lovely touch. Staff spoke brilliant English and were very helpful via WhatsApp. Hotel guests had access to sunbeds for free everyday with towels and a bottle of water. If you are there early enough, you could get one of the pool front beds. Only suggestion would be to have a complimentary bottle of water in the room everyday rather than having to rely on the minibar."

"Beautiful hotel and extremely friendly and helpful staff throughout. This hotel has recently been refurbished so don’t worry about the small number of reviews, it is genuinely excellent. It is perfectly located between the Marina, the Port and the main square (about 5-7 minute walk to all of them). The hotel overlooks the beach clubs and is right on the cliff edge so if you can, try to get a sea view room you won’t regret it. À la carte breakfast outdoor in the garden is a little oasis away from the outside world. I couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. Would stay again in a heartbeat"
