"The room was very clean and comfortable. Close to all the attractions and in a very walkable location. We felt safe walking around the area at night. Downside would be the stairs - the were very steep and we don’t travel light. I would say though, if you are looking for a historical place to stay this is the norm! "Loved our room, BUT folks need to be aware not all rooms booked are in the main hotel, some are down the block in another building. Still very traditional Amsterdam. Amazing lounge with food options in the main hotel. We were there in December and the hotel was decorated for the holidays. This hotel has a very cozy feel. "

"Great stay. Highly recommend. Staff very nice. Room was clean. Before we toured the city we would start our day with a coffee in the lobby/kitchen area. After our long day we looked forward to getting back to the hotel and grabbing a hot coco and a pastry before heading to our room. Staying here was such a delight."
