The welcome is lovely, the room was excellent and fairly large compared to say the chain hotels, everything you could wish for provided - kettle, water etc….Food is really good and very large portions so beware you need to be hungry especially at breakfast and not just the “Full breakfast”. "The staff were lovely and helpful when parking, checking in and checking out. The room was clean and comfortable. As a historic property, the floors did groan a bit at times, but that makes sense. The shower was a little fidgity to get started, but the tub was incredible! We had so much space. Breakfast was delicious and filling - so nice to have a solid, hot breakfast before a day out. We would definitely visit again. "
