"This a charming, no frills inn, great when you just need a simple place to get a good night’s sleep after a long day of traveling. I love the interior of our room which appeared to be mostly original from the 60s at least. It was well maintained and reminded me of my grandma’s house.
Just prepackaged snacks for breakfast, but there is coffee provided in a vintage coffee maker reminiscent of one from our church basement growing up.
The gazebo/rock garden for viewing the river was charming and a nice place to enjoy our coffee in the morning, also clean and well maintained. The person who checked us in was also friendly and helpful.
The only issue was no way to warm up the room. There are clear instructions to not change the mode on the HVAC split unit but rather just use the up/down temperature buttons. It was a rather chilly evening and unfortunately no matter how high I set the temperature or turned off the fan, still a small amount of cold air continued coming out, so I just shut it off rather than change the mode.
This was an affordable alternative to chain hotels with a unique vibe. We would definitely stay here again!"
