"Hair in the sink. Only went barefoot once as the floor had pebbles, etc and needed vacuuming. Reserved a 1st floor room but got 2nd floor. One couple had reserved a 1st floor room and cannot do stairs and were charged $20 extra because the room had a jacuzzi and was the only 1st floor room they could get. Also the ice machine was broken the whole time and they did not provide a way to get ice. They are located next to a Casey's! (They have an area with self serve items including frozen pizzas so they could have provided small bags of ice for people there or some other way provided ice.) When a friend went to check in the person was sitting in the lobby but didn't bother to get up and ask if she needed help for quite some time. (Why would you stand at the check in area if you were not there to check in or needed help or had a question?!) Also her shower leaked. Only had yogurt available the first of my 4 breakfasts. On Saturday they were out of bacon and I finally found someone to ask if there was more and he prepared some but they should monitor to see if more food is needed. This place has really gone downhill and they charge a lot more than they used to. Things were much better when Julie was the manager."

"My family members all had reservations at the Best Western, but I had always chosen the Holiday Inn. When I checked in, the staff member was not helpful, and she looked like she was wearing sweatpants and a sweater. When we got to the room, the AC was off, and when we attempted to turn it on, it kept tripping off. When she finally came down, she attempted it and nothing. I asked if they had any other rooms, and she said no and offered no sorry or other solutions. I was then left scrambling to find another room at 930 pm. All she said was that she texted her manager, and I was left to call Expedia the next morning for a refund, as I had not heard anything. I also heard another customer complain about the lack of breakfast, and the staff said she was the only one there for 12 hours, as if that were an excuse for poor service. From now on I will think twice."
