"The room smelled like cleaning products. Windows don’t open. Very hot at night. No air conditioning ( and window don’t open). Breakfast delivered to room but very limited. All cold carbs except small warmed quiche. All this would be fine if it was half the price."

"Stayed at Le Petit Pali and honestly it felt more like an upgraded motel than a luxury hotel experience. We paid around $530 for one night, and it definitely did not feel worth that price. The heater in our room was not working, which made the stay uncomfortable, especially for what they charge. The mattress was okay and we were able to sleep fine, but nothing about the room or overall experience justified the cost. The property has a cute aesthetic, but for the price point I expected much...

"parking is/was great and easy. Hotel excellent location, within walking to dozens of restaurants. Bath personal care products somewhat spartan, need to bring your own everything but soap and shampoo. Hot breakfast provided, in a libre-service style."

"We stayed here for a couple nights after a drive to Big Sur and the 17 mile drive. We loved the hot tub and fireplace! Room was large and decor was pretty and enjoyed the big comfy bed! Could have used a microwave but the fridge was good size. The walk to shopping, restaurant, and the beach was easy. We would recommend this property snd would stay here again. "

"So clean and the room was cozy. We were unsure as there were four of us sharing a room after the BIG SUR marathon and we were very pleased with our space. Fireplace added perfect ambiance. Breakfast in a basket each am was cute! Hot tub and garden area after the race was peaceful and much needed and the wine tasting and light bites after! The staff was super friendly! Would not hesitate to stay here again! "

"Excellent stay"

"Everything was great. Small things could be better: In the room, "Heat" did nothing, but setting the Thermostat to 'cooling' actually switched the HEAT and fireplace on... (room 104). Also, it would be lovely if the top windows could be somehow covered like the patio ones - it gets super bright in the morning. But overall, great stay, one of the best in Carmel, and Parking is a big plus."

"Beautiful place with a welcoming and helpful staff one block away from beach. Our room was clean with many amenities such as a clothing steamer, bottled water, Nespresso small fridge and safe. Great breakfast for purchase. Parking can be challenging. We will be back! The Uecker’s"

"Romms are very small for &1,300 per day. Noise is unbearable. Large wedding party without advising the prospective guests. Noise from other rooms is loud. Very late check in. Ocean views are very far and small."

"This place was perfect. It was nicer than I expected. People were super nice, the place was clean, and right in town."

"The price is aligned with what you get. It's just okay IMO. The coffee pot stopped working the 2nd day (woke up at 6am) and the office hours are 8-10 so for a coffee drinker that is pretty frustrating. Also, if you're anyone with a toiletry bag, there is no where to put it in the bathroom (no counter space for your hair tools or a bag). Speaking of hair tools, BYO hairdryer- the one they provide is awful, the handle gets so hot I had to stop half way through drying my hair to let it cool...
