"We liked that this resort was located on the coast. Sunsets were spectacular!! We liked the Lagoon (guaranteed to see marine life especially sea turtles), various swimming pools (including an adult pool), Dolphin Quest including "Sunrise with Dolphins", light breakfast (provided with our package deal) with 100% Kona Coffee from coffee shop located on the property, tram and boat for getting around, etc.
What we didn't like: not enough affordable eating places on the property. We did eat at the...
"Such a great stay! The room felt like our own little apartment with a full kitchen—super convenient for cooking meals and sneaking in a little downtime from the kids. We even had a family movie night, which was perfect!
The staff was amazing and really made us feel welcome. Only small bummer was that the shaved ice event got canceled last minute, but honestly everything else was so great that it didn’t matter.

"This hotel is such a gem. We loved having coffee on the lanai each morning with the ocean crashing on the sea wall below. Just beautiful. It was quiet at night and we were able to walk into town for dinner/shopping. It’s a great base for the west side of the island—we stayed for a week and did so much but always enjoyed returning to the hotel for a dip in the wonderfully refreshing salt water pool or just to relax on the lanai. Highly recommend! "

"We moved here unexpectedly after our original hotel lost power, and it turned out to be a huge upgrade. The Courtyard was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located — right in the heart of Kailua-Kona. We could walk to everything: the beach, shops, restaurants, and attractions were all just steps away. "In general, this hotel is fantastic especially for the kids. The kids swimming pool is awesome and you can spend a whole day in it. The waterslide is a plus.
Dining is expensive, and you don't have too much choice. About 15 min drive to Kona center but if you don't want to drive, you have to spend much money on the dinning in the hotel.
Overall this hotel is good. Worth recommend to my friends. "
"Just a lovely apartment - safe, 10 min drive from the town center, pool, beaches were close by and the ocean right behind! Kitchen was well equipped, balcony was beautiful, parking was plenty and mainly it was central to almost everything. We loved everything about the property. We also got pool towels, which was included in the resort fee, and we could take it anywhere and we can return them later. "
"We loved our stay at Kehena house! We were greeted by Stephen when we arrived and given a quick tour. They were hosting a Pride potluck that day and he kindly invited us to come eat and join in as guests of the house. Everyone we met was friendly and we felt safe to be ourselves. "The most beautiful resort we have ever stayed in. Amenities on amenities and incredibly kind staff.They upgraded our room which was so generous and the view was to die for. So peaceful! We loved our time here as we were attending a wedding on the property.
Do be warned the dining options are very expensive and there aren’t many affordable options near the property. "
