"We were greatly disappointed in the overall condition of the 2 bedroom suite on this property. The following reasons: 1. Our room was 7030, a very long walk having to pass 29 rooms before reaching our room from the elevator. Staircases were not easily visible - in case of fire! 2. Upon arrival into our suite it felt it was not clean - Lipstick stains on coffee cup and plastic water cups - see attached photos. Did not feel comfortable using the utensils and dishes so we washed them before...

"I would give a higher rating but there were construction noises everyday since our first day in the room next door. I asked my elderly mother if we should request another room but she said that would be difficult for her to pack and move again. My suggestion is to advise the guest at the front desk before they unpack that there is construction in the next room so they are informed and offered a room with no construction going on next door and comp the guest or refund if its a downgrade. "The Fairmont is likely as good of a “Resort” property as one could find. I am not a fan of Resorts, But when in Hawaii it is difficult to not stay in one. Fairmont is well presented, certainly not a value proposition, but nicely done. Good food, Bars, Pool, etc. shower in the bathtub was far better than the separate shower. Facility does need some paint and refreshing. Grounds and Location are beautiful. I like Fairmont Hotels and they are a brand I seek out, when traveling."

"This is an exceptional property, large, expansive and beautifully integrated into the landscape. The staff is exceptional and will impress you from the moment of your arrival. The rooms are nicely decorated in an authentic, local character. We only dined at one restaurant, ULU, and it was excellent. This experience was first class all the way."
