"Check in was great! Staff isn’t helpful otherwise like finding food or maneuvering the resort it’s huge and takes more than just check in. They say you have access to the golf carts but they don’t take you anywhere you want to go. Every single piece of furniture from the room to the pools needed to be replaced it was so gross and stained I didn’t even want to lay my towel or rest on it the cushions in the room couch as well as the pool chair lounging needs to be replaced or something. Other than that great stay property is beautiful."
"I was very disappointed in my stay.I have been here several times in the past. But this time, the whole property seems a lot more run down. The boat canal was not only shut down, but it was full of green algae. The train that takes people across the property was closed down, so it was much more challenging to access all parts of the property. We had to walk quite a way just to get to our room. That did not feel like a luxury experience at all.The lady at the front desk that checked us in was very unwelcoming and did not give us any information about the property. She just gave me the keys. She was waving down some pilots that had walked into the lobby like she was a fan and was completely ignoring us.The pilots were not even seeking her assistance. I was also not very impressed by the valet. The car was brought up, but, they were not opening the doors or helping out for the majority of the time that we were there. One of the pools were closed when we were there. One of the elevators in the Makai Tower seemed to have drippings from a diaper(#2) on the ground and it was not cleaned at all for the duration of our stay.We ate at the restaurant near the lagoon/dolphins and the service was not very good. The food was also not very good. Definitely not worth the price.Additionally, people who are not staying at the hotel are allowed to utilize the pools and lagoon. That doesn't seem fair to paying guests to have a crowded pool, since everyone is allowed in.The room cleaning staff was good."
"Our stay at Hilltop Vacation Rental was comfortable overall, and we stayed in Room #1. The room offered a wonderful view with plenty of livable space, and the adjoining patio was definitely a great perk. The location was convenient and provided easy access to town, which made getting around simple.
The host was very courteous, and the key entry process was flawless. We also enjoyed the common area, including the indoor pool room. And if you enjoy a bit of local character, there are roosters roaming around the property. We didn’t happen to see the famous cat that many other reviewers mentioned, but we’re sure he was out making his rounds.
There were a few drawbacks worth mentioning. The bathroom did not include washcloths, and towels were somewhat limited, with one bath towel and one hand towel provided per person. However, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were available. The room itself is quite dated and could benefit from some upgrades. The property is large and has a lot of potential, though the exterior could use a good spring cleaning and pressure washing to freshen things up.
Overall, we did enjoy our stay and would recommend it based on our experience. We would rate it a 3.5 out of 5"
"We enjoyed a top floor, ocean front room. It was quiet, serene, and was decorated beautifully. The staff was quite helpful and always friendly. We look forward to staying here again. "
"The room was very comfortable and clean. The patio area had a wonderful view of the ocean and foliage. It was a nice quiet setting after a long day of exploring the island. I will definitely be back on my next visit to the island."
