"There was a minor equipment problem in the handicap room where of the two shades one did not work
There was a major problem with noise in the room. The room is on the second floor and apparently the pool must’ve been just below. There were children yelling and screaming continuously for many minutes right at bedtime after 8 o’clock. I called the front desk and was told that the pool would close at 10 that they couldn’t really do something about the noise but also if I would like to move to a different room, I could. At first, I didn’t want to bother to move, but then the noise just kept on it was unbelievably loud I’m not exaggerating and so I packed everything up and came down to the front desk and dropped off my room card. The clerk was busy with a customer and went to the pool and found that there was one man sitting in a chair and a pool full of children playing some of them had other children up on their shoulders and they were yelling and screaming, and laughing, of course but very, very loud. The sound just reverberated. You can imagine the acoustics around a pool. When I came to the door to speak to the man, he couldn’t hear well enough because of the noise we had to step outside the door a little bit and he said there really wasn’t anything he could do with that many children. I was given a key to a new room on the third floor and had a good night after that. I think there should be policies about rough housing and yelling at pools in hotels."
