"We arrived at 11:30 am which is too early to check in. However, we were able to get our room at that time. Unfortunately, the room had not been cleaned properly especially the bathroom which was gross. Staff was very responsive and offered to change the room or clean it again. As we had already unpacked (done before discovering the bathroom issue) we opted to keep the room. We were comped all breakfasts and parking for the duration of our stay (10 days). Hotel staff was great during our stay."

"I stay at the Royal Kona Resort every time I visit the Big Island. It is a throwback to the 1970s but that is why I love it so much. My favorite features: waterfalls and Koi gardens and tiki statues by the front entrance as well as the spectacular views from Don the Beachcomber bar and restaurant while listening to spectacular live music."

"Very nice, centrally located facility.Most, "down town", touristy things,are easily in walking distance. Staff are excellent.Rooms are nice and clean.Fitness room is small,but functional.On site laundry consists of two washers and two dryers.Breakfast area is very nice,and in 6 days,we never repeated a menu, different everyday."

"The elevator on our side was out of order. To find the office was confusing upon arrival. It was not explained anywhere that the condos are owned by a third party and Raintree is just a leasing Co. They even want you to remove all garbage from the unit, but there was no dumpster to be found. The view was nice yet the sofa was horrible and the refrigerator was rusted."

"What stands out the most is watching the sunsets while standing out on the narrow deck. Place was so clean and ready for our stay when we entered. Thank you Grand and your cleaners for your excellent service. If there was one thing that might need to improve our the mats. There are 3 main mats (kitchen, bathroom and entry) are very thin and prone to buckling everything we walk over them. What we need are the thicker ones with the sticky bottoms for traction to the hardwood floors. There were a couple of occasions where I slid on moving mat causing a near trip and fall situation.
