"I really liked the location of the property in the center of town and on the second beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the morning breakfast service was excellent. "Hotel Portalo is at the entrance of the town and makes all easy for arriving and leaving. The place is beautiful and well maintained, the staff is always welcoming and friendly. Facilities, swimming pools, communal areas are great, with a stunning sea view all around. Our room, was really comfortable and with the most beautiful sea views. Birds singing in the morning, all great. Delicious breakfast too, with so many options of cold and hot Brazilian food."

"Wow what a hotel! Having a private pool on the balcony it's not something that I've experienced before, but I could easily get used to it! The staff at the hotel were simply amazing too and I really appreciated the effort they went to in decorating my room with the birthday package for my girlfriend's birthday; she was blown away by it :-) The food in the restaurant was great, although it (and the bar) is not open every night which was a shame. The location is also fantastic; it's a little further walk from the boat than other hotels but I liked how it was away from the crowds, but still with bars and restaurants mere seconds walk away & the centre of Morro de Sao Paulo still only 10mins walk. I highly recommend walking round to the 4th beach too - it's simply stunning!"
