"When I got to check in, I learned that there was a "mandatory" "destination fee" per night that wasn't included in what was paid through Expedia, for services that I would have no interest in (cooking class, yoga??). It also supposedly included high speed internet but when connecting to the wifi, I was asked to pay another amount per day for access! Maybe I missed an ethernet port in the room and that was part of my destination fee? Who charges for wifi in 2026? Good thing my phone hotspot gives me better seevice than I would get from this anyway.
Oh, and another per day fee for self parking. I guess some fee isn't too surprising here but ouch.
The room itself was fine. Nothing special.
For what you pay for the name Marriott, I didn't expect to get a shake down then nikled and dimed. If it's a mandatory fee, it should be up front in the price. Nothing sets the tone for an experience better then having to pay again after you've already paid. Doubt Marriott will be on my list in the future."
