Positives: the area is centrally located near the beach and plenty of restaurants. The facility is mostly clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast included eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurts, fresh fruit, cereal, hot coffee, juices, and muffins. Valet employees are friendly. Valet available but for $35 per night. Negatives: slamming doors all hours of the night. It's like every door is being kicked open and closed by the Hulk every few minutes ALL NIGHT LONG. I barely slept the first night because of the random slamming noises that shook the walls and startled me awake. I was baffled at how often and how long the slamming noises endured. No door on the bathroom. It's only a sliding barn door that gives you about as much privacy as a stalker with a stethoscope. Unless you're VERY comfortable with whoever you're with, bathroom time is going to be awkward.

I am biased because I had an ocean front room 😀 Every part of the hotel was impressive. The room was clean and had almost everything I needed. There is not a microwave, just an fyi! The staff is super friendly and helpful, including the rental guys right outside the property. This hotel is next to a few night clubs but I found the noise of the ocean drowned it out. This is a college area, therefore it can get rowdy in the boardwalk. There is a fire station behind the hotel, a lifeguard station in front of the hotel and police/security constantly patrolling. I felt safe enough to walk alone at night for food and people watching. There are transients like mentioned in other reviews, but enough of a legal presence that it wasn’t an issue. I was solo this time, but would definitely come back with my family! Be sure to read up about the water safety prior to going.

The room was very clean and roomy. After staff escorted a quite friendly and yet aggressive homeless man off the property, we felt safe and protected. Since the lobby opened up directly ajacent to the community and homeless congregation area, it would have been nice if the elevator(s) and swimming pool and hot tub areas required use of your room key for access. Otherwise, with a heavy police presence around the hotel, it appeared to be an otherwise safe place to be, stay, and explore the many walkable shops, restaurants and bars. You can't get much closer to the beach with this hotel as its just across the ajacent boardwalk! The extremely secure, with retractable steel gate and 24 hour valet employee keeping guard, I never felt worried about my motorcycle being messed with while I was away from it. Though, at $500.00-plus per night, the underground parking should be included with your stay in my humble opinion. I would, however stay here again!

I didn’t like 35.00 a night parking. No notice from Expedia. Balcony was poor but staff was excellent and hotel is right on the beach. Pictures don’t do it justice.

We loved our stay and the view of the Pacifuc. Very cute decor in the room and a full hot breakfast. Only downside was outside if the hotel!
