"We arrived with the bus and it was a little bit earlier then 15:00 but we were allowed to leave out trolley in the room.
When we walked into the room we noticed the big window was open and the pigeons were just on the way to fly in and window seal was very dirty.
The curtains were hanging on last leg and frightened to close it and the whole thing is coming down.
The mattress spring are so bad the we almost had a impression on our skin. So you can imagine the night we had with this very soft spring mattress.
It was also ice cold in the room and it took a long time to heat up.
The person who served us at the reception ( he was also busy with running around between rooms or cleaning them) did not tell us that the hotel will be looked and we had to put a code in the door to unlock. He also not told us the wifi password and we felt vert rushed through.
The hand soap in the bathroom was empty and in the morning the toilet was suddenly blocked until to the top and when we mentioned something to the man at the breakfast he wasn’t surprised at all and only said “ which room number” we felt it was like a common problem.
The breakfast was very poorly and not pleasant at all.
The television was not working and I had to set it up and tune it!
When we came back to the hotel at 17:45 to drop off the rucksack the hotel was closed and no one at the reception.
There was only a sign that reception closed phone this number.
Because we had troubles to get with the key code in to the hot"
"Fabulous elevated lochside location.
Rooms with a great view. Excellent restaurant and top cuisine, personalised service. Very busy tourist centre for Loch Ness, cruises, coach tours. Good VFM in high demand destination."
"When I arrived to check in, despite having prepaid for my reservation, I was informed that the room category I had booked was unavailable. Instead, I was assigned to a lower-category room, which was clearly inferior and presumably less expensive than the one I had reserved and paid for.
Although the hotel moved me to the correct room on the second night, I experienced a significant inconvenience during the first night of my stay.
As compensation, I was offered two complimentary breakfasts. While I appreciate the gesture, I do not believe it adequately compensates for the fact that the hotel was unable to provide the room category that had been confirmed and prepaid. I therefore believe that some form of reimbursement or additional compensation would be appropriate."
"The hotel was in the perfect location, lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. This hotel was very close to the train and bus station. The breakfast provided was excellent, with lots to choose from."
The Glen Mhor Hotel and Uile-bheist Brewery & Distillery
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed the large bathrooms with heated towel racks. The front desk was hugely helpful when I had a health issue. The location was next to the beautiful River Ness and close to shopping and restaurants"
"Conveniently located on the A82 close, not within walking distance, to Loch Ness. Off road parking outside the Loch Ness experience which is next door. Our room was at the back so quiet. Comfortable room with good size bathroom. Wasn't a huge selection on the menu for the evening meal but the food was tasty, it's advisable to book. There was a good selection for breakfast"
"Kings Mills is one of the finest hotels we've stayed in, in Europe and the U.S. From the beautifully manicured gardens to the lovely decorated king suite, the great bar, sitting room, and dining room, it is exquisitely maintained and managed by a superb staff.
The concierge and reception staff were very helpful, and the rooms were cleaned daily. We loved the gardens and enjoyed having breakfast and tea after a long day out. We would definitely recommend it to friends and plan on coming back soon!"
"Well located in the centre of Inverness, very limited car paking so it's pot luck if you get a space. The hotel has charm and impressive original features, for example the fabulous staircase. However, it is a bit tired and need of some internal redecoration. Good value for money."
